Overview

Bellhop is a technology company in the moving industry. I joined shortly after their Series C while a full-time student at UTC. After starting in a Carrier Recruiting role, I helped pilot a new team under the Strategic Initiatives org. Outside of my direct responsibilities, I also initiated a new process for issuing and collecting Bills of Lading (BoL), audited carrier compliance, and helped optimize/document standard operating procedures for the Long Distance Move Coordination team.

Long Distance Move Specialist

July 2019 - April 2020

• Piloted a new structured team within the Strategic Initiatives organization to improve the long-distance portion of business model

• Worked cross-functionally to manage long-distance move logistics and provide support for carriers, movers, and customers

• Coordinated approximately 10 - 25 long-distance moves per week through call, text, and email to all parties as necessary

• Resolved real-time operational and logistics issues with creative problem solving while collaborating with HQ team

• Maintained a customer satisfaction score of 4.5/5 for coordinated moves

• Created, tested and implemented new business processes to manage quality and mitigate risk

Carrier Acquisition Associate

May 2019 - July 2020

• Recruited carriers to drive for Bellhops through cold calling leads on the DOT registry

• Verified and onboarded carriers while setting performance standards to ensure driver preparedness

• Cooperated with Southeast Truck Managers to understand market needs and constraint metrics

• Managed and audited carrier compliance documentation regarding insurance and DOT regulation for all carriers
